Cookie Notice

This notice explains how PaidTabs uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies. Essential storage supports the services you request. Google Analytics and PostHog usage statistics stay off until you allow them in Cookie settings. Session recording is disabled.

Essential services

We use storage for sign-in, security and fraud prevention, shopping carts, payments, and settings you choose, including your cookie preferences. This storage is needed to provide those services and is not controlled by the optional analytics switches. Blocking it in your browser may prevent those services from working.

PostHog usage statistics

When you allow Usage statistics, PostHog measures page visits and interactions. This uses no tracking cookies, local storage or session storage identifiers, even if you accept all analytics. PostHog creates a daily hash from the project, a rotating salt, IP address, browser user agent and hostname, and strips the IP address before processing the events. We send page route templates rather than usernames, order IDs, search terms or URL query strings, and do not create person profiles or send account identifiers.

These statistics include cart changes, checkout progress, submitted transcription requests and email sign-up submissions. We include counts, the type of action, country from our existing approximate location lookup, referring website, and shared campaign labels (source, medium and campaign). We exclude advertising click identifiers, campaign search terms, precise location, payment details and form contents. Campaign context is kept in memory for the current page session; it is not used to identify your account.

You can turn Usage statistics off at any time by opening Cookie settings, turning off Usage statistics, and saving your choice. Reject all and Global Privacy Control also stop this measurement. Cookieless visitor counts reset daily and do not provide reliable returning-user counts across days.

Optional Google Analytics

With your permission, Google Analytics measures visits, referring websites, shared campaign labels, search results, audio plays, and cart and checkout activity. Our business events do not include account identifiers, payment details, search terms or form contents. Its first-party cookies include names beginning with _ga. We use it to understand site usage, with advertising features disabled. PaidTabs does not display third-party ads or use advertising pixels.

We configure Google Analytics cookies to expire after 180 days, without refreshing their expiry on each visit. Browser restrictions may shorten that duration.

Session recordings and previous permissions

Session recording is disabled. We no longer use PostHog tracking cookies or stored browser identifiers, including for visitors who previously allowed Session insights. We preserve your existing Usage statistics and Google Analytics choices and clear accessible legacy PostHog storage. Previously collected recordings follow their existing retention period; disabling new recording does not immediately delete them.

Your choices and how long we remember them

You can accept all optional tools, reject all, or choose Usage statistics and Google Analytics separately. The site remains available when you reject optional tools. We store your choice, its date, policy version, and coarse region in your browser for up to 180 days. A new choice is needed when it expires or when the purposes, providers, or consent policy materially change.

Both guests and signed-in users are shown the cookie banner when no valid choice is saved. Signing in does not grant permission for analytics. You can open Cookie settings at any time.

Use Manage Privacy Options in the menu or Manage cookie preferences on this page to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawing permission stops new collection and removes accessible first-party tracking cookies. Previously collected, permitted events may already be queued for delivery. Saving a withdrawal may reload the page to fully unload tools; changes detected in another tab, consent expiry or browser privacy signals stop collection without reloading unfinished work. We cannot erase third-party cookies on other websites or data already held by a provider through this control; contact us about requests relating to that data.

If your browser cannot save the choice, it applies to the current page and you may be asked again. Browser settings can also be used to clear cookies and local storage.

Location and browser privacy signals

We reuse the country information already retrieved for PaidTabs’ currency and location settings as context for your saved choice and, when you allow Usage statistics, for aggregate country reporting. We do not request precise device location. PaidTabs currently applies the same policy everywhere: Usage statistics and Google Analytics start only with your permission. This worldwide opt-in policy does not mean every jurisdiction imposes identical legal requirements.

Our consent controls honour Global Privacy Control by keeping Usage statistics and Google Analytics off while that browser signal is active.

Other services and questions

Payment, security, sign-in, and third-party media services used for features you request have their own privacy practices. Rejecting analytics does not disable those services. For further information and privacy requests, read our Privacy Policy or contact [email protected].
