Our story

PaidTabs is a Sweden-based music-focused online marketplace, operated under the company Tabbit AB. It is designed to facilitate connections between musicians for the creation and delivery of sheet-music–related work. Independent musicians list their transcriptions and offer custom transcription through the marketplace.

All content on PaidTabs is available exclusively through paid transactions, we operate as a commercial marketplace, not a free content platform.

The company’s founders are musicians and engineers who are passionate about creating new opportunities for artists. On PaidTabs, artists can have their original compositions transcribed by independent musicians and sell those arrangements to buyers through the marketplace, enabling an additional and sustainable source of income.

We empower music learners with comprehensive technologies that enhance music education and accelerate learning for musicians at every level. Our online interactive sheet music player eliminates the need for paper by providing digital transcriptions with adjustable playback speed, section looping, and guided play-along features, reducing environmental impact while improving practice efficiency. We also provide essential learning utilities including our advanced tuner, which supports diverse instruments with over 100 tuning configurations, and a precision metronome to help learners develop accurate pitch recognition, proper intonation, and steady timing. These educational tools create an environment where musicians can practice more effectively and build lasting skills, with additional learning resources continuously being developed.

PaidTabs is actively expanding its marketplace capabilities, introducing new features to enhance the user experience, and supporting a growing ecosystem of musicians and learners. Our goal is to contribute to shaping the future of music education by empowering individuals to learn, create, and engage with music in meaningful ways.

Programmes and services we use

PaidTabs has taken part in the Sting.co and Google for Startups programmes. Payments are processed by Stripe, and the site runs on Amazon Web Services and MongoDB. PaidTabs is a registered EU trade mark (EUIPO), and we support tree planting through Viskogen.
