Jessica is the name of Allman Brothers guitarist Dickey Betts' daughter. He was working on this song when she crawled into the room and inspired him. Jessica Betts was born May 14, 1972 - she was one year old when her dad wrote the song. This is an instrumental song that had little chart success but has endured as a staple of classic rock radio and a favorite among fans.

Mark also played opposite John Oates, Phil Keaggy, Sam Bush, Bryan Sutton, Colin Linden, Kathy Mattea, and more at the City Winery in Nashville, TN.

He is a repeat featured performer & judge at The Indiana State Fingerstyle Guitar Competition as well as a main-stage performer at the venerable Walnut Valley Festival in Wichita, KS where Mark won first place in the 2009 International Fingerstyle Guitar Competition.
