Hey there, welcome to my video about Major Scales Vertically On Guitar Per Fret, Daily Routine. In this video, I'm going to share with you my personal daily routine for practicing major scales on the guitar, which I find to be a great way to get to know the fretboard better.

When it comes to scales on the guitar, there are many different ways to approach them, including horizontally, vertically, and diagonally. For this routine, I'll be focusing on playing the scales vertically, targeting a specific 5-fret area on each string.

I suggest studying the scales in three different ways. First, try singing the name of each note while playing slowly, in order to really internalize the 12 keys of the major scale. This will help you to better understand the relationships between notes and to develop a strong sense of pitch.

Secondly, practice playing the 6th, 5th, and 4th strings with your thumb, and the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st strings with your fingers (i-m, i-a, m-a). Combine this technique where necessary, using your thumb to switch between the index, middle, and ring fingers. This will help you to develop better control and dexterity in your fingers.

Finally, internalize some fingerings that I've included in the score, in order to create a uniform way of playing that your fingers can become accustomed to. This will make playing scales feel more natural and fluid.
